As NATO member states gather in Turkey for their summit, NATO’s great failure looms large. The 2014 coup led to a civil war and finally to a Russian invasion to protect ethnic Russians in the east. The plan was to use Ukraine as a cudgel to beat down Russia. Fourteen years later, millions are dead and the plan has failed.
